The Albemarle County Department of Community Development is actively recruiting a Planning Intern to join our team. This internship provides opportunities to gain experience in local government and long-range planning by assisting County staff in a Comprehensive Plan (Comp Plan) update. The project is now in Phase 3, which includes the Plan’s land use and transportation framework and Plan implementation. This position includes data analysis, mapping, research, and drafting reports and interactive materials. The intern will assist staff in a variety of projects in support of the Comp Plan update.
