The Center for Refugee, Migrant, and Displacement Studies is soliciting applications for a paid internship as Data Analyst/Coordinator with Elimisha Kakuma. Elimisha is an international, refugee-led organization that promotes higher education for residents of the Kakuma Refugee Camp (Kenya).
The intern will work with the leaders of Elimisha, Dr. Shadle (Associate Director of CRMDS), and Elimisha students on the following duties:
- Organizing students’ documents, such as transcripts and letters of recommendations
- Ensuring students' documents are saved in required format
- Organizing and updating contacts and history of interaction with funders, public and private partners, and universities
- Tracking universities where students will and have applied to, including deadlines, results, and contacts
- Identifying and organizing data about potential funders
- Updating the Elimisha website (preferred, not required)
The internship pays $15 per hour for 5-10 hours per week, depending on the intern's schedule and Elimisha's changing needs, through the end of the academic year.
