About Us
The Division of Monetary Affairs (MA) supports the Federal Reserve’s deliberations, decisions, and communications regarding monetary policy and financial stability. The Program Management Office (PMO) leads the development and execution of MA’s strategy and special projects. The PMO is seeking a Graduate Intern to help us implement MA’s new five-year strategic direction.

Our internship is designed to help you develop as a leader at the intersection of strategy, management, and public policy. As an MA PMO intern, you will:

Position Requirements
About You
Above all, we’re looking for a versatile problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills, a knack for communicating, and a growth mindset. If you can think on your feet and our mission and values resonate with you, we encourage you to apply.
This internship is a great fit for graduate students in public policy, public administration, business, project management, and organizational development, but students in any field are welcome. Experience with strategic planning, communications, project and program management, organizational performance, data analysis, operations, human capital, and process improvement are all a plus, but if you don’t have experience, we’ll help you learn. This is not a research position; we don’t require any prior knowledge of economics or finance.
The Details
- This internship will last 10–12 weeks beginning in early summer 2023. (The position may be extended beyond the summer.)
- Over the summer, we’ll need you to work 40 hours per week and to be available during our core hours of 10 A.M.–3 P.M, Monday–Friday.
- While we offer flexible schedules and remote work, we’ll need you to join us on-site at least once a week and sometimes more at our office in Washington, D.C.
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program with at least one semester remaining after August/summer 2023.
