Job, Internship, and Fellowship Openings for Students and Alumni of the Virginia Tech School of Public and International Affairs
Are you interested in how transportation affects health and health inequity in cities? Do you have skills in research and data analysis? Can you summarize complex research into clear and concise language?
From respiratory conditions caused by poor air quality to traffic violence, a lack of access to quality transportation options is associated with a host of health inequities along racial and socioeconomic lines. GGWash has received a grant to build and disseminate the evidence base for transit access and quality as determinants of health and health equity in the District of Columbia.
We’re looking for a great researcher and writer who’s worked with transportation and/or health data sets and reports in the past. The successful candidate will help us draw a clearer picture of how these issues are related, and rooted in systemic racism and other margins of inequity.
This is a contract-based opportunity, up to 200 hours through the spring of 2023, and a great fit for a graduate student. For more details, qualifications, and responsibilities, check out the job posting: https://ggwash.org/files/Sept_2022_RWJF_research_assistant.pdf
